Cottages were clean and nice!
Fishing was excellent!
Price was excellent for the quality of place!
The location in the bay was peaceful!
Karen and Erich were amazing hosts, we really felt at home.
We would recomend this resort to anyone.

we stayed at wildwood cottages from Sept11th -14th . the cottages were exceptionally clean- complete with everything you would need. the hosts- Karen and Erich were the most helpful and friendly and there when we needed them. We would definetly recommend this resort to others and also hope to return ourselves down the road.!!!

We would like to start off by saying "Thank you Erich and Karin for your hospitality". We were looking for a home away from home and we found it at Wildwood Cottages. The cottage was very clean and inviting. All the cooking utensils were up dated, the beds were clean and comfortable. The layout of the cottage was cozy with larger than normal bedrooms for a cottage. The cottage had a beautiful look over the lake, the balcony made for a beautiful mornings enjoying coffee outside looking at the lake and listening to nature. A huge bonus and much thanks to Erich and Karin for allowing dogs to be a part of our family vacation. It was very nice to not have to kennel our dog. The grounds are well kept, boats are clean and are a huge bonus with the cottage rental. Erich and Karin your genuine love of nature shows in your beautiful property. Thank you for a fantastic long weekend you are great hosts. We will be back.

We've been home from our first cottage vacation for almost 3 weeks, and we're still talking about it. The cottage was perfect (the kids loved having their own loft), the surroundings were beautiful, the river was inviting and our hosts were lovely. Even the dog had a great time! What a great place to relax. Can't wait for next summer!

Mike and I spent and enjoyable 4 days at the cottage. We found the cottage to have all the provisions necessary and to be quite comfortable. Erich and Karin were great hosts ensuring all was good and gave some great fishing tips! Having a pet friendly resort enabled us to bring our border collie who also got to interact with other dogs at the adjacent cottage and with Rocky!!
Thanks for the great advice on where to explore (Peterborough locks) and the beautiful and relaxing environment.

We just spent a week at Wildwood with our son Jason and Jeff's mom Marie and we all had a good time. The cottage was immaculate and ready for us to move right in. It was the best of both worlds == the cottage was right on the water and with the beautiful trees surrounding it, it was like being in the woods. Jeff and Jason were impressed with the cleanliness and convenience of the fish cleaning house. Our hosts Erich and Karin were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend Wildwood to anyone looking for a good place to spend a family vacation.

We had a wonderfull time with our family consisting of Kevin (5) and Aimée (3). Cottage 3 is perfect for little families as it is right on the little beach. The children loved it! Thank you Erich for helping us catch our first fish and also preparing them for dinner!</p>

We visited the Wildwood cottages in August 2010. I would say that is the best time (given that Pennsylvania had over 50 days of 90F - 33C over the summer).
The place is nice and quiet, one can walk for a couple miles along the lake, fish bite constantly. Having access to a boat has a lot of advantages in terms of going to the Rice Lake and sightseeing - Loons, Ospreys, Water turtles, and other wildlife.
The hosts are welcoming and friendly. There are places to visit within 30 min driving (shopping, restaurants, historical towns at Lake Ontario, etc.)
Rental dates are flexible and rates are very reasonable.

What a beautiful spot!! End of August 2010 we were spending a week in this wonderful resort. We had a three bedroom cottage, which meant a lot of space for the two of us. The cottage was very well equipped, very clean and nothing was missing for a perfect holiday. No doubt, it was a pleasure to see Karin and Erich again after 8 years, we very much enjoyed our time with you. Thank you both for your hospitality, which we loved and appreciated a lot. We recently spent a few days at Wildwood with our dog! We must say, Karin a & Erich are "excellent" hosts, and went out of their way to ensure a great & hassle free experience at Wildwood! The Boats are GREAT, Cottage VERY CLEAN, and the whole property shows pride of ownership! We would definitely book again, and highly recommend Wildwood to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay! Mike and I had a wonderful time. The dogs (Lexus and Holly) really enjoyed it as well. The girls got to experience their first vacation, and their first boat ride. It was great being able to just have them out and watch them swim. The cottage was excellent... very clean and roomy! The site was beautiful... I already miss having my morning coffee on the porch looking out at the water. We are hoping to come back... we had a great time.... it was just what we needed ... a little peace and quiet.

After spending a fantastic weekend at Wildwood Cottages we would like to send a big thank you to Karin & Erich! My husband and I and two other couples rented the three bedroom cottage on the August long weekend. Karin and Erich couldn't have been more friendly and welcomed us when we arrived. They were more than happy to make sure we had everything we needed!
The cottage well extremely well equiped and very clean. Not having been there before, we weren't sure what to except but we were all pleasantly surprised.

Karin & Erich are such great hosts they make a getaway feel like visiting friends. We all loved Wildwood Cottage Resort. My kids were happy and the family was able to share one of those moments that magical memories are made from. What a wonderful stay we had at Wildwood. It exceeded our expectations... a quiet, relaxing spot with all we needed in terms of fishing set-up as well as a perfect fall getaway. The cottage was charming, the hosts helpful and friendly, lots to do in the area (if you're not a fisherman) and a great spot to just "let go". The small # of cottages and good location were definite pluses. We'll definitely go back again and again!

My husband and I stayed with for about 1 1/2 weeks with our 5 month old puppy. It was a lovely stay because they really are pet friendly. We kept our puppy on our cottage property most of the time but we also let him run around a little and the Karin and Erich were wonderful about it. The cottage is very very very clean and well kept. Also, as a person who rents cottages regularly, I can tell you that many of them have very poor quality pots/pans for cooking. At Wildwood, they were decent quality and easy to cook with.
It's a really lovely site so close to Toronto but we really feel like we got away from it all.
I would recommend them and I would certainly go again.
